Israel Photo of the Day - Druze Soldiers
The Israel Defense Forces (Tzahal) uploaded this beautiful photo yesterday of a battalion of Israeli Druze soldiers fighting in the IDF. We commend these soldiers, and the Israeli army, for their tireless work in protecting Israel. We are so excited to get our tiny little taste of that experience on Gadna Week on CVK 2012 — only 52 days left!!!!
Shabbat Shalom!
Israel Photo of the Day: 1921
On this day in history: March 30, 1921, Winston Churchill made a visit to the British Mandate of Palestine, with key stops at the agricultural colony of Rishon LeZion, and in the new city of Tel Aviv. He praised the Jewish inhabitants for all of the strides they had made in this land, that he had seen first-hand on his visit. This is a photo of Rothschild Boulevard, in Tel Aviv, in 1921. See how sparsely populated that urban center was then! Incredible.

Israel Photo of the Day - Rainbow over the Mediterranean
One of our favorite views in Israel is the prominent Tel Aviv coastline. The man-made breakers were made of rocks and placed along the shore in the early 20th century, which eventually caused the semi-circle shapes to form in the shore. This photo almost completely encapsulates the serenity we feel when we’re on the beach in Tel Aviv. Shabbat Shalom, and Rosh Chodesh Sameach! Remember, “Mi SheNichnas Adar Marbin b’Simcha”
